Wolf’s new ICON Q series alarm system and HUBB receiver feature military-grade electronics, advanced functions and many new details. The design process was an intense process that took years to develop every feature of the ICON alarm and the HUBB. It has a wide range of features listed above. Variable Detection System – VDS: Using a magnetic vibration sensor, the VDS generates a signal that responds directly to line movement. Movement is detected in two ways: by the roller wheel (S) or by vibration (V). The sensitivity can be adjusted differently. Ultra-sensitive vibration detection: The V-Control overrides the line wheel so that the VDS now detects even the smallest movements. This is perfect when fishing slack lines in search of “liner” or when fishing very tight lines where a strike is often preceded by a beep or two before any discernible movement is detected.
Skewer Wheel Detection : Automatic detection system that switches between motion and roller wheel detection to ensure you never miss that all-important bite. Eight levels of sensitivity (can also be controlled from the receiver). They are adjusted with the S-knob reel between the minimum sensitivity setting of 100mm (ideal for running water), and the maximum setting which detects line movement as little as 2mm, making them ideal for timid or suspicious fish. HUBB Link – Receives & sends commands to the HUBB – up to 16 levels allowing adjustment up to 300mm (2mm, 6mm, 12mm, 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 60mm, 100mm & *Additional HUBB settings 4mm, 8mm , 16mm, 20mm, 30mm, 40mm, 80mm & 300mm). Drop Bite Alert : The alarm only sounds when the line moves the distance set with the sensitivity control in one direction only. If it moves forward and then falls back immediately, such as in wind, the alarm will not sound, ie at certain distances more than 4mm of cord movement in the opposite direction is required before an alarm is sounded.
LEDs: Highly visible LEDs in 7 selectable colors – green, blue, cyan, yellow, marginta, white or red. LEDs light up when the line is pulled and flash when the line is dropped. Controllable from the Hubb receiver, because the alarm time of the LEDs can be set: 60 seconds – 30 seconds – 20 seconds – 10 seconds – 5 seconds.
